End of HHJ Obsession/ Devotion

I've considered so many other areas of my life that could use this devotion. This is my goal deadline. I will have to purge all of my unused products and devote my time an energy to the betterment of another area of my life. MBL is my ultimate goal, but I have no idea where my hair will be come December 31, 2013. That will be five years of being hair obsessed.

Hair Update-10/19/09-25 wks, New Regimen to Come

NOTE: I apologize I have been going through stretcher's depression. I am trying to keep all of this NG looking presentable the healthy way, so I haven't really been heavy into styling since taking out the twists. I am so ready to end this stretch and get on to a new hhj goal.I have been prioritizing some things in my life and my blogging has to take back seat for awhile.

I took my kinky twists out last weekend. I am currently 25 weeks and will relax next weekend. I wanted to do a relaxer prep regimen prior to relaxing my hair, plus I wanted to make sure my scalp is healthy. I always like to know the condition of my hair prior to relaxing. While taking out my twists I noticed that my hair was still very moisturized and clean. This was surprising to me, b/c others complained of dryness and breakage with these. I haven't had any of these issues. I washed my hair the same as though my hair was out.

I evaluated my regimen and I am going to change it again. My regimen will still be moisture-based and heavy on protective styling, but I want it to stay simple, yet structured b/c I want to reach my goals and also evaluate some things about my hair. I will post my new regimen after my relaxer. I tend to try a different regimen after each relaxer cycle, to see how it works for me throughout the whole stretch.

I used my Sedu, I was 24 weeks an I was pleasantly surprised by it. It yielded silky, beautiful results. I remember reading a post about someone using the Sedu and not having to moisturize as much. I didn't need lots of moisturizing products to keep it from drying out. I felt the same way, my hair felt so smooth, I couldn't stop touching it.I need to figure out a good temp to set it on though.

My hair is evening out really good. A lot of my shorter layers are filling in really good. I am anxious and ready for my relaxer. I can't wait to get a trim, it has been almost a year so I need my hair even and neat for my new regimen goals.

Pre-Relaxer Regimen: I prepoo'd, shampoo'd and dc'd in four plaits. It really helped with taming my NG and detangling. The plaits weren't taken out but to apply dc and then leave-ins at the end of wash.
PREPOO-Tresemme Remoisturize Conditioner 1hr with towel turbie
SHAMPOO-ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo & CHI Infra Shampoo(love, this stuff, makes my hair so soft with any amount of NG)
DC-ORS Hair Mayonnaise 30 mins(diy steam method with heating cap)
LEAVE-INS- Leave-in Spray, Lady Fior Olive Oil Leave-In(I think my hair really likes this, I've been using it for awhile, but need more time to review, CocoMix

Blow dried, then moisturized and clipped hair up, put on a headband. Will wear like this until I relax. I plan to apply Castor oil to my scalp every other night, to get my scalp ready.

Thanks, Fefe. I will be posting pics soon.

Traycee- You initially inspired me. I won't do it again though. I see a difference in thickness, but it requires to much time. I will probably see next summer, but I want a little more consistency/ structure to my regimen to reach some of my goals. I plan to set my relaxer on a 14-16wks schedule.

I cannot wait to see your pics! I remember your earlier NG pics so I know you'll be happy =)

I'm trying to simplify my hair regimen as well.
