I can't wait to use up all of my products and get back to my staples. I am slowly using them up. Perhaps, a blog sale in the future....who knows.
Okay so we all know my blog is called, relaxed, long way 2 grow. Well I'm relaxing and truth is, don't we all have a long way 2 grow in so many more ways than just one(hair). Well, I've decided that I am also going to share my quest to a greater more fulfilled life with GOD, my health, and my family.
We have been in Texas collectively for about 6+ yrs and the children and I have been to church collectively throughout the entire time about 2 months total, again not consistently. I feel that my life is definitely missing GOD. I miss him, however I still remember being burned out. Does anyone remember Steve Harvey's joke about going to church any and every time the doors were open for Sunday school, prayer meets, sleep in, bible school, vacation school, youth board, usher board, choir practice, praise team, revivals, well that was me all the way. Now don't get me wrong I love church and fellowship and I miss it dearly but unlike a yr ago, I want to start off slow with involvement and make sure that I am in the right "toolbox" (church) so that the Lord can use me(I'm but a tool for the Lord) according to his will. I have been invited to church by many of my patients and I kid you not, I had a whole week where it seemed like every other patient kept giving me hints about going to church. Funny thing was, they all kept saying the same thing, " Don't put your life/job/hubby/children before GOD". I heard this endlessly and had too many church invites that I didn't know which one to choose. Shamefully, I haven't been to any of them. Nevertheless, I knew it was GOD talking to me. Why else would these people who know nothing about this friendly face at their appointment come out of the blue to tell me these things. We're planning on going this Sunday so pray for us as I pray that the Lord will lead us and anyone else seeking him to a church family they can call home.

I've considered so many other areas of my life that could use this devotion. This is my goal deadline. I will have to purge all of my unused products and devote my time an energy to the betterment of another area of my life. MBL is my ultimate goal, but I have no idea where my hair will be come December 31, 2013. That will be five years of being hair obsessed.

I understand how you feel, but you are on the right track. You at least realize that you need to be in the right place to do what you feel God has called you to do. So, open your heart and let him lead you to the place that is the right fit for you and fullfills your spiritual needs. You'll know when it's right~I wish you and your family blessings my friend.

Church going is one of those things that ebbs and flows... It's easy to get caught up in the "Go every time the door's open" or the "Oh, we missed last week what's one more week at home gonna hurt".
We found a church. We do not "fit in" at all BUT we feel like God has called us and our rambunctious little boys there for some reason and He will do with us as He sees fit.

I just found your blog last night. I hope you don't mind me commenting so late. This post spoke to my heart. I am currently where you are. Missing God. Needing him in my life. Getting over being burnt out from going CONSTANTLY! and last but not least for me a DEEP church hurt. I am currently seeking a new church home so I can began to worship God again. It's been 2 years.
