End of HHJ Obsession/ Devotion

I've considered so many other areas of my life that could use this devotion. This is my goal deadline. I will have to purge all of my unused products and devote my time an energy to the betterment of another area of my life. MBL is my ultimate goal, but I have no idea where my hair will be come December 31, 2013. That will be five years of being hair obsessed.

PRODUCT REVIEW: TIGI Bed Head Self-Absorbed Conditioner

TIGI Bed Head Self-Absorbed Mega Vitamin Conditioner 8.5oz/ $4.20(store closing sale)
Dates of Usage: 2/26/2010-3/21/2010
Used As: Prepoo, DC, Cowash
Description: Creamy, citrus-smelling conditioner

Product Claims:
Take two minutes to get a little SELF-ABSORBED! Mega Vitamins A,B,C,D and E energize lazy, ho-hum hair. Pump up the body and shine. Work out the tangles and dry ends. Feed out-of-shape or chemically treated hair what it needs. (courtesy of product container)

Directions:
Work thoroughly through damp hair and rinse. Leave in 3-5 minutes for extra nutritional benefits.

My Experience:
First off, I just want to say I love the scents of the Bed Head products that I have. Since the first use of this product I could tell that there was something in store. My first wash with this product was a cowash and it really seemed to get my hair clean. My strands felt sleek and smooth. My next few uses for this product were as a prepoo for my hair and my daughter's hair. It spreads so well. This is a pretty decent cowash, but I really, really preferred this product as a prepoo.

I had a few issues with tangles after trying the invigorating gel and this conditioner really helped to calm my tangles down. I can't say that my hair felt like butter every use. My hair felt amazing when I would leave this product on for 1-2 hours while doing chores. It makes my wash go so smoothly. I applied my dc after shampooing my hair and my hair felt better with this conditioner than the dc that I am currently using.

I would recommend this product, but only if you plan to leave it in longer than 3-5 minutes. I can't vouch for nutritional value, but I can say my hair loved this product. I will even say that I would purchase this over Aussie Moist depending on funds. I purchased this at a ridiculously low sale so I'd need to compare prices. I already know that with Aussie you get about 20-30oz for $3-4, but even on sale I only got 8.oz for $4. I like it, but it may not be feasible within my budget. Oh, and it has a pump on the bottle, even the smaller sizes. I prefer bottles with pumps.

SIDE NOTE: I am so anxious to try and already think that I'll love the Moisture Maniac that I plan to do a review on the 8.5oz bottle that I have. I plan to keep the larger size for later on down the line when I'm finished experimenting.

STAPLE STATUS: Yes, though I probably won't repurchase unless I want to splurge or quite a sale

Ingredients:Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Glyceryl Sterate, PEG-100 Stearate, Trimethylsiloxyamodimethicone, Octoxynol-40, Isolaureth-6, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Stearyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Cetrimonium Chloride, Panthenol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Retinyl Palmitate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Cholecalciferol, Tocopheryl Acetate, CI 16035 (RED 40), CI 19140 (Yellow 5).

Hey, Fefe. Thanks for checking out the review. My stretch is going horribly. My hair is great, but my patience is shot. I'm ending it @ 9/10 weeks post. I have an appt with a stylist to get a corrective relaxer. I'm getting a few light layers and i'm gonna enjoy my hair for a little bit. I'm getting kind of weary of this hhj, my life is getting busier and i can't devote as much time as i used to.

Any advice?

Good review! I see this brand all the time and always wonder of they would be a waste of my money. At least now I know that they may be worth a try.

This conditioner shocked the heck out of me. I expected it to be one of those sweet-smelling conditioners that do nothing for your hair. What a pleasant surprise. The only thing that would keep me from repurchasing this product is the hefty price tag for a regular size bottle, so I dont even want to know how much a liter costs. My advice, buy it on ebay.

Note: Even after a complete shampoo wash and leave ins put in, my hair was still very fragrant, like the scent of this conditioner when I took my wet bun down.
